Distorted still life – Katherine Melançon
I came across Katherine Melançon‘s work when I was browsing through the jotta website. Her list of influences include the likes of Roger Hiorns, Christian Marclay, and Philippe Parreno so perhaps it was inevitable I would find her work appealing!
These still lifes look like reflections on rippled water combined with glitch art. What I find pleasing is how easy it is to identify the different things simply by colours and textures.
