Olly Moss’s pop culture silhouettes – how many can you recognise?

Check out these fabulous pop culture silhouette images from the super-talented Olly Moss’s show at Gallery 1988. Sadly Gallery 1988 is in the US – Melrose Avenue, Los Angeles to be precise – so I can’t actually go and see it but there are plenty of pictures over on his blog so I shall console myself with those as best I can.

Browsing back through Olly’s work you’ll probably be surprised how much of it you’ll already be familiar with. You’ll probably know him from his ‘Now Panic and Freak Out’ design or possibly his inspired reworking of the original Star Wars movieĀ posters?

Looking at his most recent silhouette works I was reminded of an earlier work from Olly’s series of fake Penguin video classic book covers. Originally my favourite from that set was his take on Half Life but there was a Sims 2 cover which may have hinted at his current exhibition:

Neat, no?
