About this blog
At university I studied History of Art and Architecture. My subject and I had an intense love/hate relationship – sometimes I wanted to throw my lecture notes, articles, postcards, essays, and gallery pamphlets into a deep dark well, and sometimes art moved me and provoked me and made a connection between me and the world.
I have gradually learned to tame my ‘throw it all into a well’ impulse and hope to use this blog to share my enthusiasm and, in turn, have others share their responses with me.
I also occasionally post my own photography. Partly because it’s my blog and I can do as I please, but partly because I like the idea that I should make myself as vulnerable to the critiques of others as they are to mine.
If you would like to get in touch with me you can find me on Twitter (@philippawarr) or you can email me at philippawarr (at sign) gmail.com
I love the accompanying music – please could you let me know what it is! It’s familiar and I wondered if it was Gorecki, but I’m not sure…
I also think the website is very interesting indeed, and have made it one of my main reference websites.
Hi Phil,
Do you have an email address? I have an art event happening tomorrow I’d like to invite you to.
Many thanks
Tony
